Virtual Dementia Tour

The Virtual Dementia Tour is a program designed to increase awareness for those who may come into contact with individuals living with dementia. The simulated changes that are experienced through the tour provide participants the ability to move from sympathy to empathy and better understand the behaviors and needs of those with dementia.

AARP Smart Driver Course

This is a "Driver's Refresher" course designed to help seniors update their driving skills and knowledge of the rules (and hazzards) of the road, learn about normal age-related physical changes and how to adjust driving skills to compensate, the effects of medication on driving, and much more. Successful completion of the course may even help participants qualify for auto insurance discounts.  Cost: $15 for AARP members / $20 for non-members. **Registration required by calling (517) 437-2422 or (800) 479-3348.

Town Hall Meeting

State Senator Mike Shirkey (R) of Michigan's 16th Senate District (Hillsdale & Jackson Counties) will be holding a Town Hall Meeting at Perennial Park on Monday December 14th beginning at 6:00 p.m. The main topic for discussion will be the road funding package that was recently signed into law by the governor. The Town Hall Meeting is open to the public.
